This "head collar" works very well for my head-strong young lab. With a standard collar around his lower neck he pulls until he chokes, then he keeps pulling. With the Gentle Leader he is well-mannered and easily controlled. The high position behind the ears is what the "Dog Whisperer" recommends,as well. It is great! Our walks are fun for us both now.
